The Irish Film & Television Academy is delighted to present Woody Allen's latest feature film Midnight in Paris - a romantic comedy about a family on a business trip in the City of Light - as our October First Look IFTA Premiere Screening. The film features an all star cast including Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Kathy Bates, Carla Bruni, Adrien Brody and Michael Sheen.

The Irish Film & Television Academy, in association with MAC Cosmetics, presents our annual Make-Up Event - The Craft of Make-Up. This year the event is dedicated to the work of two nominated and award winning IFTA Members in the Academy's Make-up and Hair Design category.

The Irish Film & Television Academy's next First Look IFTA Premiere screening will be Cary Joji Fukunaga's adaptation of Charlotte Bronte's classic Jane Eyre. This anticipated romantic drama stars Irish actor Michael Fassbender (IFTA Member & double IFTA winner) alongside Mia Wasikowska.

The Irish Film & Television Academy announced its new IFTA LONDON initiative at a reception in London's Piccadilly. The initiative is a dynamic new creative network designed to foster productive relations between the Irish and UK industries.

John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, Max Payne, Flight of the Phoenix) will be the focus of IFTA's upcoming Directing Masterclass. John will discuss the making of his globally sucessful box office features - addressing topics such as the development process in the studio system and directing action sequences - in addition to offering advice to IFTA Members on working outside of Ireland.

The Irish Film & Television Academy is delighted to announce two-time Academy Award winning writer/director/producer John Lasseter (Toy Story, A Bugs Life, Cars) will be the subject of IFTA's next special In Conversation With... event. Also featured at this Animation in Focus will be a special screening of John Lasseter's latest animated film Cars 2, which he directed and wrote - a follow up to his 2006 Golden Globe winning feature Cars.

The Irish Film & Television Academy is delighted to present a first look preview screening of Man on the Train, Irish director Mary McGuckian's remake/translation of Patrick Leconte's 2002 film L'Homme Du Train. This First Tuesday presentation of Man on the Trian will be followed by a Q&A with the film's Irish director/producer Mary McGuckian.

The Irish Film and Television Academy is delighted to announce its Screenwriter-in-Residence programme at this year's Galway Film Fleadh with screenwriter Gill Dennis. Currently the Master Filmmaker in Residence at the American Film Institute, Gill Dennis will be giving a Masterclass for Screenwriters, in association with the Irish Film & Television Academy, at this year's Fleadh as well as giving one-on-one consults to IFTA Members of the Writing/Directing chapters.
