These events examine the creative process, the collaborative nature of the industry, script, plot and character development and seek to bring a guests inside story and inspiration to IFTA Members.

THE CRAFT OF MAKE-UPThe Irish Film & Television Academy, in association with MAC Cosmetics, presents our annual Make-Up Event - The Craft of Make-Up. This year the event is dedicated to the work of two nominated and award winning IFTA Members in the Academy's Make-up and Hair Design category.
ANIMATION IN FOCUS - IN CONVERSATION WTIH... JOHN LASSETERThe Irish Film & Television Academy is delighted to announce two-time Academy Award winning writer/director/producer John Lasseter (Toy Story, A Bugs Life, Cars) will be the subject of IFTA's next special In Conversation With... event. Also featured at this Animation in Focus will be a special screening of John Lasseter's latest animated film Cars 2, which he directed and wrote - a follow up to his 2006 Golden Globe winning feature Cars.

IN CONVERSATION WITH... REDMOND MORRISThe Galway Film Fleadh, in association with the Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA), will pay tribute to Irish producer Redmond Morris at the 21st Galway Film Fleadh which takes place from 7 - 12 July.
Morris will be the focus of the Irish Tribute 'In Conversation With...' on Saturday July 11th at 4pm in the Cinemobile where members of the audience will get an insight into the life and career of one of Ireland's most prolific and successful producers working today.
IN CONVERSATION WITH... CIARAN HINDSAs part of the Queen’s Film Theatre 40th Anniversary celebrations and in association with IFTA, we are delighted to be holding an In Conversation With Ciarán Hinds.
The interview will be hosted by Marie Louise Muir from the BBC Northern Ireland and this event will be preceded by a screening of Thaddeus O’Sullivan’s December Bride which stars Donal McCann and Ciarán Hinds, in an atmospheric, subtly nuanced tale of a seductive servant girl, the two men who covet her and the child that results.
