IFTA Membership
HOW TO JOIN
The Irish Film & Television Academy is comprised of Members in Ireland and internationally who are professionals working in the film and television industries.
Irish Film & Television Academy Membership is open to Irish and international industry professionals. (For information about IFTA London Membership click here)
To become a Full Member of the Academy you must have a minimum of four years professional experience and demonstrate that you are working at an appropriate level as defined by each individual chapter, and/or have made a significant contribution to the industry.
To be eligible for Membership to the Irish Film & Television Academy you must have been either born in Ireland or have lived in Ireland for a minimum of three years. If an applicant has not been born in Ireland or has not been a resident at some stage of their career, they must be able to demonstrate a significant contribution to the Irish industry.
Those you do not, at this time, meet the minimum eligibility criteria may apply to become Associate Members with a view to becoming full Members in the future. Associate Membership carries all of the benefits of full Membership without Voting Rights for the annual Awards or access to screenings during voting season.
All winners of an Irish Film and Television Award are entitled to free Membership for the following year.
All Honorary Award winners automatically become Honorary Lifetime Members of the Academy.
Professionals wishing to join the Irish Academy should fill out an Application form, which should be sent to IFTA along with a photograph, current CV and payment details.

INTERNATIONAL Membership PROGRAMME
Through our International Membership programme, the Academy’s current Membership will be joined by International Members from 2011 who work in the industry, who wish to be part of the Irish Academy and believe that they can contribute to the Academy’s mission of supporting and celebrating creativity in the Irish film and television industry as well as raising the profile of Irish creatives and production in the international arena.
