IFTA Membership
HOW TO JOIN
The Irish Film & Television Academy is comprised of Members in Ireland and internationally who are professionals working in the film and television industries.
- To become a Full Member of the Irish Academy you must have a minimum of four years professional experience and demonstrate that you are working at an appropriate level as defined by each individual chapter, and/or have made a significant contribution to the industry.
- Those you do not, at this time, meet the minimum eligibility criteria may apply to become Associate Members with a view to becoming full Members in the future. Associate Membership carries all of the benefits of full Membership without Voting Rights for the annual Awards or access to screenings during voting season.
- All winners of an Irish Film & Television Award are entitled to free Membership for the following year.
- All Honorary Award winners automatically become Honorary Lifetime Members of the Academy.

IFTA LONDON & INTERNATIONAL Membership PROGRAMME
Through our International Membership programme, the Academy’s current Membership will be joined by International Members who work in the industry, who wish to be part of the Irish Academy and believe that they can contribute to the Academy’s mission of supporting and celebrating creativity in the Irish film and television industry as well as raising the profile of Irish creatives and production in the international arena.

The Irish Film and Television Academy is divided into Chapters. Each Chapter is specific to individual Members' professions and qualifications.
There are 14 Chapters of disciplines.

• Television Executive*
* Applicants should select the Film or Television Chapter only if their profession does not fall within the remit of another Chapter (ie broadcasters, production crew, distributors, festival directors, legal/finance, training, etc.)
IFTA Membership is valid for 12 months.
