Full members are entitled to vote in the Annual Irish Film & Television Awards. All voting Members receive DVD screeners and they will also be entitled to attend special academy screenings during the Viewing and Voting Season in the lead up to the Ceremony. In addition to the Academy votes, members are also invited to sit on the various Jury Panels for the Awards along with international names.

The Academy host a monthly ‘First Look’ screening for Members in the Irish Film Institute as well as screenings and Q&As as part of the Awards Viewing Season.Some recent screenings include:

The Academy is continuing to expand Masterclass and Lectures events to cover each Academy chapter. In 2011, the Academy held the Inaugural Television Lecture with Stuart Muphy ((Sky1HD and Sky Entertainment)

In Conversation With….Series of events continues throughout the year with the Academy hosting discussions with actors, writers, directors & producers to be held throughout the year. Past participants include director John Moore, John Lasseter – Head of Pixar US, writer Graham Linehan, director Dearbhla Walsh, producer Lelia Doolan, actress Fionnula Flanagan, actors David Kelly & Ciaran Hinds & John Lynch, producer Redmond Morris and cinematography Seamus McGarvey,
