Liam Neeson Introduces 'Michael Collins'
Special 20th Anniversary Screening

The Irish Film & Television Academy would like to invite you to a very special screening of 'Michael Collins' in person with Liam Neeson and director Neil Jordan, on Sunday 10th April at the Savoy Cinema, Dublin.

This spectacular 20th Anniversary Screening of MICHAEL COLLINS in all its glory, with the newly Re-Mastered Digital format for this Centenary year of the 1916 Rising. This unique event will have a very special introduction by the world renowned and Iconic Actor Liam Neeson who played the part of Ireland’s most controversial and beloved patriot
and revolutionary heroes.

Michael Collins tells the powerful, turbulent story of one of Ireland's most controversial patriots and revolutionary heroes, known as ‘The Lion Of Ireland’, who leads his countrymen in their fight for independence. Set in the early 20th Century, when a monumental history of oppression and bloodshed had divided Ireland and its people, the film covers the bloody 1916 Easter Uprising, when Irish revolutionaries surrendered to the overwhelming military power of the British forces and Collins was arrested. Upon his release, he takes leadership of the Irish independence movement and strives to create a free and peaceful country.

Michael Collins is available for the first time on Blu Ray in a 20th Anniversary Edition re-mastered with the addition of a new specially recorded Intro and Commentary by director Neil Jordan. This edition is also available on DVD.
