
Irish Screen Stars set to Descend on Dublin This Friday 20th for the Irish Academy Awards Ceremony
Irish Screen Stars will arrive back home to Dublin this weekend for the Irish Academy Awards hosted by Kevin McGahern this Friday 20th February. The IFTA Awards Ceremony is set to be a spectacular home gathering of Irish actors and filmmakers, to celebrate the enormous success of Irish creative talent and to recognise achievements both in front and behind the camera. Ciarán Hinds will receive the IFTA Lifetime Achievement Award surrounded by his family, friends, and industry peers.
The Awards take place on Friday 20th February at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre and will be broadcast on RTE One this Saturday 21st February at 10.50pm.
Irish Screen Stars already confirmed to attend include Oscar-nominated Jessie Buckley (nominated for her award-winning performance in Hamnet), as well as Cillian Murphy (Steve), Steve Coogan (Saipan), Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Golden Globe-winning star of The Tudors), Aidan Quinn (The Walsh Sisters), Alison Oliver (star of Wuthering Heights and Task), Anthony Boyle, Danielle Galligan, Jack Gleeson, Fionn O’Shea (House of Guinness; Niamh Algar (The Iris Affair), Lola Petticrew (Trespasses), Louisa Harland (The Walsh Sisters), Jamie-Lee O’Donnell (Leonard & Hungry Paul), Siobhán Cullen (Obituary), Genevieve O’Reilly (Andor), Lisa McGee and Roisin Gallagher (How To Get To Heaven From Belfast).
