The Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) is delighted to present a special 'In Conversation with...' event with Actress and writer, Clare Dunne.
One of Ireland's leading actors, and well known from stage productions as well as Film and Television, Clare Dunne is one of Ireland's leading actors. She is currently starring as Amanda, the female lead in Kin for Bron/AMC+/RTE written by Peter McKenna, which is currently streaming on AMC+ and broadcasting on RTE. 

She recently starred in Herself, which was also written by Clare for which she won the 2021 IFTA for Best Script. The film, directed by Phyllida Lloyd (Mama Mia, The Iron Lady) and was produced by Element Pictures (Normal People) and Sharon Horgan's Merman. Herself premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews and was picked up for international distribution by Amazon Studios. In addition to winning for Best Script, the film was also nominated for Best Actor Supporting Role (Conleth Hill), Best Production Design, Best Actress Lead Role (Clare Dunne), Best Film and Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 2021 IFTA Film & Drama Awards. It has been nominated for a British Independent Film Award (2021) for Best Actress for Clare Dunne, for a CSA  Award (2021) for Outstanding Achievement in Casting, it won the Women Film Critic Circle Award for 2021 for ‘Women Saving Themselves’ and the Dublin International Film Festival Discovery Award (Clare Dunne) and the Human Rights Film Award (Phyllida Lloyd) in 2020.

Clare was also recently seen in Sir Ridley Scott's The Last Duel and in the Marvel Blockbuster Spider Man: Far From Home.
